has been facing drought since many decades,
then cyclone, next was massive earthquake
& now the threat of flood has once again

Heavy
Rainfall received by various Talukas in the last 24
hours:

Orders
issued & arrangements made to evacuate Bhuj
due to cracks in Hamisar.

Water
has covered homes in posh areas like Bhanushali
Nagar, Umednagar & Dwidhameshwar colony of Bhuj.

The
State Government has requested the Army to be
on alert.

Indian
Air Force was urged to make an aerial survey.

Planning
to evacuate villages Godhra, Rajda, Merau
& Don.

Government
schools in many areas have been kept ready
for evacuees.

casualties have been reported
each from Nalia, Gandhidham, Mandvi & Kandla.

8000
villagers of Banni - Denmark of Kutch are trapped
in water from all sides.

Army's
Rapid Rescue Team has reached Banni to remove
people from Gasia sludge.

Express & Kutch Express trains have
stopped at Anjar.

Out
of 880, 354 villages are facing black
out due to lack of electric supply.

Operation
at the Kandla port has been suspended.

Road
traffic between Bhuj & Lakhpat and
also Mandvi & Narayan Sarovar have been
cut off due to flooding iriver Bhukhi.

mobility between Gadhshisha & Kotdaroha
is disturbed due to breaking of bridge between
Gadhshisha & Devpur.

points on the Bhuj-Khavda state highway are
also under water.

Telecommunication
link between Bhuj and Mandvi has been disrupted.

Electric poles have got
uprooted at many places.
